Hey guys!
It’s Raji Ashok here, the designer and content behind Yarn ‘n Me.
I share inspiring crochet patterns, tips, and tricks to make your crafting experience exciting and therapeutic. Hang around for more crochet patterns and more tips on mindful crocheting. Because your craft is your self-care.
Check out my shop and Ravelry Store for resources and patterns to learn new crochet techniques and cultivate an everyday crochet habit.
I started my blogging and designing journey in May 2020 after deciding to spread the word of crochet therapy,
which by the way, I have soulfully experienced. I picked up the craft after a missed miscarriage, to keep myself together. Since then, there is no turning back from the craft. My husband helped me set up this blog from the technical end and my love for numbers keeps me inspired for designing.
As much as I love to find calm through crochet, I am a firm believer in Yarn minimalism. I think yarn hoarding is overrated. Yarns are for inspiration not for hoarding. Therefore, I do not hoard them, but buy only those that inspire my designer side and de-stash them regularly.
I am a big fan of Harry Potter, and I named an entire series of patterns after some of its characters. Do check it out (Filet Crochet Beyond Home Décor). And if you still did not find out, the colour scheme of the blog is also one from Harry Potter. When I am not crocheting, you can find me working on my other hustles (I am a Freelancer) or in the gym (I am a fitness enthusiast too babes).
I am a nerd and love to read and get to know things. I started reading audiobooks while crocheting to get the best of both worlds.
I believe that there is always room to learn about the stuff you already know and just because don’t know something yet, doesn’t mean that you will not know it forever.
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
It’s one of my favourite quotes from The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
Here’s something for you from me.
