Simple Summer Shawl: Beginner-friendly triangle shawl using Scheepjes Whirl

crochet triangle shawl for beginners: Simple Summer Shawl

Triangle shawls are one of the staple crochet accessories in your wardrobe as it goes well with almost anything. Made with a lightweight yarn, it is the perfect accessory for summer. Simple Summer shawl is a beautiful triangle shawl pattern that is beginner-friendly and therapeutic to work on a well.

A 0ne-of-its kind triangle shawl for beginners

The Simple Summer Shawl is a triangle shawl that is neither a bottom-up nor a top-down shawl. It is worked from one end of the triangle to another along the length of the shawl.

The main body of the shawl uses only two stitches- chain and double crochet stitches with simple increases and decreases on one side. When you start the shawl from one corner, you keep increasing along one fixed side in each row. When we reach the midpoint of the shawl, you start decreasing in each row along the same side.

This increases and then decreases along the side from the V-point of the triangle shawl. To top it all off, the shawl is finished with a beautiful shell-inspired border.

Yarn

This beginner-friendly crochet triangle shawl is designed using Scheepjes whirl, a versatile and my favorite yarn. This is a perfect acrylic-cotton blend, lightweight, and the best yarn to make summer accessories with.

The shade I used here is 755 Blueberry BamBam
