The gradient is tantalizing

When I work a project with Scheepjes Whirl the gradual colour change keeps me motivated to move forward with my project. The fuzzy yarn while the colour changes in gradient excites me. It is almost impossible for me to put my project down when working with the whirl. I keeps moving until I see the next fuzz.

But struggle is real

You never really know when to stop your work and fasten off. There is always these lingering questions towards the end of the project especially while working triangular shawls with whirls – ‘Can I go one more repeat with this last bit of yarn?’ and ‘What if I don’t have enough?’

I always have a few yards of yarn left from every whirl I work with and I almost feel guilty while fastening of the project for not having used it all up. At the same time, I always get caught up with this thought that I will have to frog the last repeat of I worked it up and ending up with insufficient yarn.

I went through all of these recently, while testing the a pattern. But this time I cleared my mind and went boldly for another repeat as I had the matching Scheepjes whirlette. I had to use it for half of a last row. But guys! The struggle is real! Have you experienced this? Please let me know.

If you have, you are not alone!

Scheepjes whirlette – the saviour

I just cannot thank Scheepjes enough for coming one with whirlette that matches most of the whirls, if not all. Whirlette is a mini whirl but is a solid colour. It comes in a cake of 100g with a yardage of 455m. These days, I buy my Whirls along with their matching whirlette to avoid all my mind-drama to go further or not to.

With whirl and whirlette combo I go have a free hand in designing my project and to make other ones that calls for a fingering weight yarn. I have many projects in its raw design form with Scheepjes whirl. You can see and get them very soon.
Scheepjes whirl and whirlette has become my go-to yarn for many of my projects- both personal and professional ones. It would attribute it to two main aspects of the whirl – the colour gradient and the yardage per 100g.
